To Whom it may concern
I founded Hengrave Estates with David Kain in 2003 and we remained partners and Co-Directors until we decided to close the company in 2008. The company was involved in developing and refurbishing of residential properties in prime London.
We were based in Mayfair and David was an investor and Director of the company. We worked together sourcing sites for re development and agreed on design and specifications. David would liaise with Surveyors, Architects, Engineers and Health and Safety specialists. David's responsibility was the construction side of the company. He was fully responsible for staff, submitting work specs and quotes with timelines. He expanded the department and carried out contracts for third parties and opened a Hengrave Plumbing and Heating division. He ensured the profitability by making the emplyees accountable on running costs.
David was totally commited to Hengrave. Each project he oversaw every aspect ensuring the quality, fully aware of the financial and time constraints. He worked with Exel sheets reporting to the board the WIP and financials. He was honest, thorough and extremely hard working. He was always calm and was a leader who gave vision and encouragement to his team.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with David and have the utmost respect for him.
He has a rounded experience of running a development and building company with exacting standards. I cannot recommend highly enough as a person, company director, team leader and friend.
